Understanding BioSense

What is BioSense?

BioSense is a French educational service that helps you understand your health reports (we start with blood tests) by presenting them in a clear and accessible format.

The service organizes your results, puts them in context with references from official sources (HAS, ANSM, ESC, ADA, WHO…) and produces a clear educational report.

BioSense does not perform any medical interpretation, does not make any diagnosis and does not replace a doctor or a medical biologist.

Who is behind BioSense?

BioSense is published by Inspiration 4 SAS, a French company based in Saint-Clément-de-Rivière (34). The team is led by Michael Chekroun, a digital health entrepreneur for 15 years and founder of Carenity, a platform dedicated to patients with chronic diseases.

BioSense's legal and regulatory framework is validated by a French law firm specializing in digital health.

How does it work?

  1. You upload your lab report as a PDF (downloaded from your laboratory's patient portal).
  2. BioSense extracts the values, organizes and formats them.
  3. Educational explanations and references from official sources are attached to each biomarker.
  4. The report follows a strict framework: no diagnosis, no medical interpretation.
  5. You receive your educational report in less than 24 hours.

Does BioSense make diagnoses?

No. BioSense does not make any diagnosis, does not provide any medical interpretation and is not a medical device.

The service only provides educational explanations to help understand the results provided by your laboratory.

Does BioSense replace a medical consultation?

Absolutely not.

BioSense complements the work of biologists and doctors by making lab reports easier to understand, but never replaces them.

If in doubt, if you have a concerning value or a medical question, it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional.

Security and privacy

Is my health data secure?

Yes. Security is our absolute priority. BioSense applies GDPR standards and best practices for protecting sensitive data:

  • Your data is encrypted end-to-end (AES-256, the same level as banks).
  • It is hosted exclusively in Europe, in compliance with GDPR.
  • Your identifying data is never shared with third parties.
  • You can delete your data at any time from your patient account, without justification.

You keep full control over your information.

Membership and pricing

Is it free?

Yes. The analysis of your first lab report is free: create an account, upload your PDF, and immediately receive your summary and an overview of the key biomarkers.

To go further — full analysis of all your markers, tracking over time, wellness program, a PDF to share with your doctor, an assistant to understand your report — activate a BioSense membership at €10/month or €100/year (i.e. €8.33/month, saving 17% on the annual plan).

No commitment, cancel anytime.

What does the BioSense membership include?

The BioSense membership includes:

  • Unlimited blood test analyses
  • Personalized, structured educational report
  • Longitudinal tracking of your biomarkers over time
  • Highlighting of values outside reference ranges
  • 30-day wellness program (activity, nutrition, sleep, stress)
  • Consultation preparation and a PDF to share with your doctor

You keep access to your account and to the reports already generated. You can reactivate your membership whenever you wish.

Everyday use

What analyses can BioSense process?

BioSense can process most common lab tests, including:

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Lipid panel (cholesterol, triglycerides)
  • Glucose, HbA1c
  • Kidney function (creatinine, GFR…)
  • Liver function (ALT, AST, GGT…)
  • Thyroid (TSH, T3/T4 depending on tests)
  • Iron, ferritin, transferrin
  • Inflammation (CRP, ESR)
  • Electrolytes
  • Urine analysis (proteinuria, albuminuria…)

BioSense is limited to presenting and explaining these results in plain language, without any medical interpretation.

Does BioSense work with all laboratories in France?

Yes, BioSense is compatible with the vast majority of Medical Biology Laboratories (LBM) operating in France (Cerba, Eurofins, Synlab, Biogroup, Inovie…).

Whether you had your blood test done at a large national network or an independent laboratory, you just need to send us the original PDF.

How do I import my results into BioSense?

It's very simple. Once you have received the email from your laboratory, download your report as a PDF from their patient portal. On BioSense, click « Import a report » and drop the file.

Our technology automatically analyzes the data to provide you with your report.

What if my report is on paper and not in PDF?

For optimal analysis, we recommend using the digital PDF file provided by your laboratory on their patient portal.

If you only have a paper version, you can scan it cleanly to PDF using your smartphone (free apps available on iPhone and Android) before importing it.

How soon will I receive my report?

Most reports are available in just a few minutes. This delay allows secure document processing and educational formatting of the results.

Can I share the report with my doctor?

Yes. You can print your BioSense report or send it directly to your doctor to use as support during your consultation.

The BioSense membership also includes a dedicated « Consultation preparation » PDF that summarizes your key results, your questions and the points to discuss.

Why BioSense over a generic AI tool?

Why BioSense over a generic AI tool?

A generic AI tool simply reads your PDF. BioSense does more: it contextualizes your results based on your personal situation.

Your lab results cross-referenced with your profile

Your biological data cannot be read in a vacuum. An ongoing treatment, medical history, a high BMI or a particular lifestyle can significantly influence your biomarkers. With each report, BioSense cross-references your results with the information from your health questionnaire to offer a relevant reading, specific to you.

A structured method, not an improvised conversation

Unlike a general-purpose tool, BioSense applies a method specifically designed for blood tests:

  • Structured, reliable extraction of laboratory values (no reading errors, no unit confusion, no reconstruction of missing data).
  • Explanations based on official medical sources (HAS, ANSM, ESC, ADA, WHO).
  • Clear and consistent formatting from one report to the next, to track changes over time.
  • Secure processing of your health data in Europe, GDPR-compliant.

A strict framework

BioSense does not perform any medical interpretation and does not make any diagnosis. Your results remain to be discussed with your doctor — BioSense helps you prepare for that, better informed.
